Dr. Bernadia Tjandradewi

Secretary General of UCLG ASPAC

Dr. Bernadia Irawati Tjandradewi  is the first woman to serve as Secretary General of UCLG’s regional section. With over 15 years of experience in urban development, she began her career at the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and CITYNET in Yokohama. Dr. Bernadia is a visiting professor at universities in Japan and a published author of numerous papers. In 2015, she joined UN-Habitat’s Advisory Group on Gender Issues (AGGI). Her expertise includes strategic urban planning, climate change, disaster and water management, women’s empowerment, and local governance. She holds a PhD in Urban Engineering from the University of Tokyo, and master’s degrees in Atmospheric Physics (Nagoya University) and Public Policy (National University of Singapore).

Dr. Pascaline Gaborit

Founder of Pilot4DEV

Dr. Pascaline Gaborit the main founder of Pilot4DEV, a think tank working on climate, development, SDGs and dialogue. Pilot4DEV works to connect stakeholders to boost sustainable development but also to create dialogue among institutions, stakeholders and civil societies. With a PhD background in political science, she has published books and articles on cities, climate international cooperation, culture, conflict prevention and gender. She organises and moderates events publishes reports, researches and coordinates projects. CRIC is one of her main flagship projects.

Prof. Isabelle Milbert

President of Pilot4DEV

Prof. Isabelle Milbert graduated in Law and Political Sciences at the University of Paris, where she specialised on Indian law and urban management. She arrived in Geneva in 1988 to teach at the Graduate Institute of Development Studies (IUED) and carry out research and consultations for various assignments (Swiss Development Corporation, French Ministries, and International Organisations). From 2001 to 2004, she headed project team on “Governance, Human Development and Environment” under the NCCR North South.

Ravi Ranjan Guru

Deputy Director General at AIILSG

Ravi Ranjan Guru is the Deputy Director General at the All-India Institute of Local Self Government (AIILSG) and Executive Director at PRUDA. With extensive experience in climate resilience, policy development, and sustainable development, he leads projects across India, South Asia, and Korea. In India, he manages Equi-City, promoting inclusive urban growth through participatory governance. He is also a Programme Manager at UCLG ASPAC South and South West.

Sara Silva

Project Coordinator at ECOLISE

Sara Silva is Project Coordinator at ECOLISE, a landscape architect and a facilitator for sustainability. She is the CRIC Project Coordinator for ECOLISE and is also part of the core team of the Municipalities in Transition Project. Back in her hometown in Porto, Portugal, she is co-founder and coordinator of Cidade Mais, an annual urban festival on social transformation and sustainable development.

Prof. Youssef Diab

Director of Research at Gustave Eiffel University

Prof. Youssef Diab is the Director of Research at Gustave Eiffel University and a leading expert in urban resilience, governance, and climate adaptation. With a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering and over 30 years of experience, he has managed €1 million/year in research programs in sustainable urban planning, supervised 38 PhD theses, and published over 100 papers. He is also a Professor of Urban Engineering at UPEM and Scientific Director at EIVP, focusing on decision-making tools for sustainable cities.

Hizbullah Arief is Regional Project Manager for the Climate Resilient and Inclusive Cities (CRIC) Project, a global climate change training mentor, and a promoter of sustainable development with over 20 years of career experience working on various programs under local, regional, and global development organisations, including UNDP Indonesia, MCA Indonesia, AusAID, USAID, and UCLG ASPAC.

She is passionate about exploring innovative approaches in communications, leveraging her lifelong enthusiasm for reading and writing to make a meaningful impact.

M Rizki Satria

Field Officer for the Sulawesi Region - CRIC Project

Muhammad Rizki Satria is hired by UCLG ASPAC to assist project implementation in the cities of Gorontalo and Ternate (Sulawesi Region).

Rizki is a Bachelor of Science in City and Regional Planning Programme from Institut Teknologi Nasional Bandung (ITENAS) and received a Master of Disaster Management degree from Universitas Gadjah Mada. His expertise includes city and regional planning, disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation. Before joining with CRIC, he helped formulate the Minister of Public Works Regulation about climate disaster mitigation and adaptation, worked for the National Action Plan of Climate Change Adaptation Secretariat at Bappenas and involved in Bintari Foundation-run climate change adaptation project.

Kesuma Yanti

Field Officer for Kalimantan Region - CRIC Project

Yanti is a young person actively involved in urban development issues, especially inclusiveness and environmental issues. She uses a participatory and community-driven approach to interact with the community. She has experience in urban inclusivity for the past 3 years by working and facilitating vulnerable people to get better access and developing an inclusive environment. She also developed a community-led waste management project in Banjarmasin and was actively involved to solve climate change issues in her city. She joined a lot of international youth programs and get an award from the Ministry of Youth as The Most Outstanding Youth at the International Level.

Indah Yusliga Sari Purba

Field Officer for Sumatera Region - CRIC Project

Indah is a graduate of environmental engineering with more than three years of working in environmental issues. She has experience managing sustainability departments in the private sector and working as a research assistant in Environmental Studies Centre on a project Inventory and Mapping of Mercury Around Artisanal Small-Scale Gold Mining Sites in several regencies of Western Indonesia.
